Adobe Bookstore has agreed to let a local artist arrange all of their books by color rather than the more typical, prosaic attributes like ‘subject’ or ‘author’. It’s quite something to see.
It’s impossible to find a specific book, of course, but it usually is at Adobe anyway. It’s surprising only until you think about it, but this doesn’t make browsing difficult at all. The only hard part is choosing where to begin; you can’t just walk into lit crit or decide you want fiction. It’s much harder to decide you feel like reading something blue today.
