why didn’t we think of this before!
CNN was willing to print this. Consider; twelve years ago, CNN was on 24 hours a day in the Pentagon. Now, it’s something to flip to during commercials while you’re watching Loony Tunes. Though I suppose that these days, that doesn’t preclude it being on non-stop in the Pentagon.

obgeek
I *am* a geek, you know. Two things:
First, HubZilla is a 4-port FireWire hub with “menacingly fast 400 Mbps data transfers” and posable arms, legs and tail, as well as eyes that glow red when your FireWire bus powers up.
Second, rumor sayeth there is a (new) Volkswagen Beetle in the area with a custom license [...]

The nervous tic of a generation
When I Was Cruel
by Elvis Costello
Costello has released what he describes as his “first LOUD album since 199?”. Critics everywhere are hailing it as the return of ‘the nervous tic of a generation’ and a glorious revisit of his punk rock glory.

degustibus non est disputandum
I know this is a horrible, horrible thing to say. . . but . . . well, I mean, they _were_ listening to Great White. On purpose.

Israel: 1 - Flight to Tel Aviv
My firm intent to avoid prejudice on my trip to Israel was dashed before I was within a thousand miles of Ben Gurion airport, when I was seated next to my own personal Zionist movement on the flight out of Warsaw.
I was aware that I didn’t have enough information to make a solid judgement [...]

wilhelm! they got wilhelm!
There’s no particular reason for you to have noticed him. People have been hearing him and not catching on for more than fifty years, back almost into the golden age of cinema.
The most recent appearance of Wilhelm that I know of is in The Lord of the Rings: the Two Towers. Near the beginning of [...]

honorary soul
I have an official hip-hop name now. It was given to me by none other than DJ Suave Smooth, the Def Body-Rock Sure-Shot MC, so it’s the real thing. I am now “Josh’U’Rock”. What do you think of that, mom?
